SCIENCE

Once you achieve the basic mechanics of the Zwing you will learn to intuitively discover your own Zwing Yoga practice. With persistence you will develop your upper body to have the same strength as your lower half and use them in a more balanced integration. Equal power and dexterity that runs through the centerline of our body makes for the conceptional theory of what
Core Power Yoga is. Perfection of the body is Balance. A synergistic integrity that creates superior strength from within.

Yoga is wonderful. The styles taught are inspiring, ancient and focuses our awareness on the universal pull of gravity. Once working with gravity we are taken, step by step, breath by breath, through the discovery of our feet, heels, spine and finally our head. The exploration is an adventure which is safe because we acknowledge the anchor of gravity to the earth and this allows our bodies to engage and to fly. This yoga is about opening with the aid of gravity and feeling the infinite possibilities from which the ZWING will guide you to. Just as the universe expands to a point then contracts, we too, in our own way, shall discover inner dimensions that expand and contract.

Practicing ZWING YOGA is accompanied by many benefits. It awakens our spine, releases the tension in our joints, ligaments and muscles and releases our energy and vitality.

Better than anything I have discovered on this plane of life! As our body relaxes actively we discover the space within. Every posture is carried out along with the movements of the Zwing, with the aid of gravity.

The Principles
Rhythm + Control
The swing is free moving. A great feature, but added awareness to your centre of gravity is the key. Making motions with control and balance is the aim.

You should endeavour to time your motion with the forward and backward natural sway of the swing. The timing of the motion, say contraction / release or forward / backward, is the rhythm and the rhythm is gauged and put into synchronization by the Breath.

Breath
Technique
The breath is linked to the motion. The two are one. As you contract or come up from a sit up or an extension where the muscles are contracting and tightening this is the exhale phase. The inhale is any motion that is a release of the pause or hold of the exercise. The inhale is shorter than the exhale. Twice as fast to be exact.
Make it equally smooth through both nostrils. The breath is held for as long as you can until you feel a flush of blood to the body or brain and you get the vibe it is time to release.
Not for every exercise, but quite a few, when breathing on the Exhale instead of exhaling, inhale more. Why are we so conditioned to inhale then exhale? In this Breath technique we are breaking free from the old and constructing anew.

Our goal set to achieve is Full Lung Capacity + Completely Inflated Lung Tissue.
Study, Hold and Maintain your individual long deep breaths.

Stack the Breath
as long as the rib cage is hanging in an inversion with the aid of gravity in the swing, the rib cage is not putting pressure on the lungs therefore one breath can be held for extended periords of time.Clients have experienced a phenomenal effect that they can hold the breath 5 to 10 times longer then they ever thought possible!

Pause, Centerline & Alignment
As you contract the muscle exhale slowly till you reach the top of motion. Pause here. Hold this position in the static phase and wait for the blood to rise in your body and veins, wait for the need of your body demanding that you inhale. Only release when you have to breathe on the 2nd or 3rd impulse of your minds signal that " It's time to breathe! "
Then start to release slowly and with control. This is a powerful technique you may apply to every breath in your life.

Breath Mastery leads to Self Mastery

The Centerline is all that you are! There is a root in the perineum and a line up to the eyebrows. In this centerline your aim in Yoga is to pressurize this channel with vibrating energy and instill your life force here to make the pressure reach your brain. You maintain this pressure and magnify it so that you raise your Sexual Energy Power to the Brain eventually achieving Enlightenment. The Aim in Yoga is to only identify with centerline channel, also called the Shusumna, and the clearing and strengthening of this channel in every single posture or exercise.

Core Power : Tongue Lock
The Hara, Pau Qua also called the Tan Tien - is the navel region. All names indicating the source of your being. It was the umbilical cord while in the womb and now this balance point and strength arise from this area just below the navel. Here sits deep in meditation ethereally your divine self. We can wake up our Buddha nature when we concentrate on this area called the Manipura chakra and build its power source. Every exercise that you perform begins from here and moves and attains its expressive power from this point. So set your intention to accomplish every motion or Yoga posture from this point.

Strength will increase by 25% if we maintain a firm tongue, applied to the roof of the mouth. This is a method of tongue Kung Fu. Practice, practice, practice.

In The Eyes
When you are ready to begin your exercise, put your eye gaze straight up to the eyebrows and forehead. Lift your entire body with the eyes and your mind so much that you feel yourself lifting out of your skin.
This intense way of exercise builds our physical body to handle the Kundalini energy that will begin to flow through it when reaching higher spiritual practice.

INVERSION BENEFITS EVERYTHING

Did you know that when you spend two to three or more hours practicing inversion per day, your body reverses the ageing process by over 50%?

so... if you do 30 minutes of inversion four to six times daily a 50 year old will start feeling like a 25 year old.

It is a fact that just five minutes of inversion is equal to three hours sleep. It promotes blood and lymphatic movement and exchange and aids in tissue rejuvenation. It is when you lie down that it takes so long for the blood to reach the extremities.

With inversion the blood goes to the head in seconds and there is great benefit immediately.

Inversion is nearly the best thing to ever come along for all its healing benefits.

BACK PAIN AND INVERSION THERAPY
Today back pain is one of the most common of all physical complaints in the world. About 70 to 90% of men and women in the U.S. have had or will have at least one bout of incapacitating low back pain. Back pain contributes to lost work time and may cost as much as $100 billion annually (if lost productivity is included).

Your vertebra are supported and moved by many different muscles. Muscles are used for three basic functions: support, movement and posture control. If muscles are tight or weak they reate or worsen back pain. Joints are controlled by at least two sets of muscles: flexors which bend the joint and extensors which straighten it. In addition, most joints have rotator muscles that twist and rotate your bones. Good posture is only possible if the flexors, extensors and rotators are in proper balance.

Doctors agree that most back problems are caused by stress or by weak muscles. We need strong back, abdominal and hip muscles to resist gravity and to hold us up. Besides holding us up, they act to keep the spine and pelvis in alignment. As societies around the world become more mechanized and computerized, they have also become less exercised. We lock ourselves behind desks and in front of computers. When we sit, our back muscles hold us erect, but our stomach and hip muscles are inactive. When they are not exercised, stomach and hip muscles become weaker, putting a painful strain on the back muscles. Sitting places higher loads inside the lumbar disc than standing (between 150 to 250% depending on posture).

Invertebral joints are supported by ligaments, which are tough and inelastic fibers which support the spine and hold it together by allowing only a limited range of movement in any one direction. Ligaments require regular movement and loading, otherwise they will eventually become still and weak. Using inversion can give an excellent controlled workout to the muscles and ligaments necessary for a healthy spine. There is also an enormous body of evidence that a compressed disc, whether or not it is actually ruptured, can be aided by Inversion Therapy. Inversion increases the invertebral space and allows the disc to return to its shock absorber and spacer function.

Many of our back and other problems are due to gravity's chronica downward pull on our bodies, often causing compressed or pinched nerves leading to Sciatica. The sciatic nerves are the largest nerves in the body - about as big around as your finger. They start in the lower spine, pass behind the hip joint and go down the buttock and back of the leg to the foot. Pain from this nerve, called Sciatica, may be felt from the hip to the big toe.
Inversion can assist in reversing this compression. Sciatica is different from other back pain, although low back pain often comes with it. Usually sciatica only affects one side. Pain often radiates down the buttock or leg. It can range from tingling, burning, pins and needles feeling to excruciating, shooting pain that makes standing up nearly impossible.

Also keep in mind that before surgery became so popular for back problems, traction was the therapy of choice. Gravity traction gives the user total control and the results we have seen are impressive.

Now with the aid of the Yoga Swing you can begin reversing the flow of gravity easily and without special strength, balance or agility. Any level of flexibility or age, even children, will have sheer fun and pleasure hanging out and flowing through various positions. The numerous practical benefits on the health and therapeutic levels is that, not only can you stretch and strengthen virtually every muscle in the body, you can achieve the state of bodily perfection you may have been striving for.

Healing Benefits: The Yoga Swing can be used for gentle passive lumbar or sacral traction, which can do astonishing healings to the lower back in minutes. You can then carry out the lower back strengthening series to heal low back pain/injuries and correct the fibers and tissues from reinjury. Wellbeing and the ability to perform any task may be increased by 100% after performing continued inversion combined with flexing, moving and breathing as a form of flowing rehabilitation.

Core Yoga: Core Yoga is working from the core. By strengthening the lower abdominal muscles the entire bodily structure becomes incredibly strong and unified. The Core Yoga Swing System was developed to achieve a deeper state of body integrity where the alignment of gravity comes into harmony with the breath and there you will find TRUE YOGA - the union of the physical and spiritual.

When undertaking Inversion Therapy we would like you to practice bilateral symmetry when doing exercises. This act of smooth control and focusing on muscle balance will correct imbalances in predominant muscle groups. Again enhancing alignment and gaining superior strength.

The Yoga Swing is portable, just find a low tree branch and you are ready to hang out in a peaceful setting. It is a complete exercise gym, yoga stretching and osteopathic therapy alignment device.
